Optics is an introduction to geometric, wave, & quantum optics.  The goals are to:

  • Learn about a wide variety of phenomena related to light and optics
  • Improve and gain new lab skills, with an emphasis on writing
  • Begin making the transition from "ordinary" students to scientific colleagues

 

The text for the course is Introduction to Classical and Modern Optics (4th edition) by Jurgen R. Meyer-Arendt.
